Single and selective transport of Zr(IV) ions with trioctyl amine dissolved in kerosene using a multidropped liquid membrane technique

چکیده

It is very important to develop a process for selectively extracting Zr(IV) ions from the solution medium produce zirconium metal used in industry and nuclear reactors. In this study, parameters affecting extraction of were investigated using multidropped liquid membrane (MDLM) system. Trioctyl amine (TOA) dissolved kerosene was as carrier ligand by MDLM technique. The effect concentration stripping concentration, pH, temperature donor phase on transport investigated. optimum condition transportation 0.50 M H2SO4 phase, 0.10 molL-1 TOA carrier, Na2CO4 acceptor phase. percentage increased up >99% calculated activation energy which 6.36 kcal mol-1 indicated that diffusion controlled ions. results showed system, resembles bulky system shape, promising technique an acidic solution. more practical effective than bulk, supported, or inclusion, emulsion techniques.
